Kajian Pemanfaatan Limbah Serat Daun Nanas Pada Kuat Tekan dan Kuat Lentur Beton

Perkembangan tanaman buah di Provinsi Riau semakin meningkat setiap tahunnya,
khususnya pada tanaman buah nanas. Namun dengan meningkatnya produksi buah
nanas, maka juga akan meningkatkan limbah daun nanas. Untuk dapat memberikan
nilai tambah terhadap limbah buangan tersebut, maka daun nanas yang diolah
menjadi serat untuk bahan tambah pada beton. Maka diperlukan penelitian untuk
untuk untuk mengkaji pemanfaatan serat nanas terhadap kekuatan tekan beton dan
kekuatan lentur beton. penelitian dilakukan dengan memberikan beberapa variasi
penambahan serat daun nanas sebesar 0%, 1%, 3%, 5% dan 7% terhadap berat semen
pada mutu beton K-225. Jumlah sampel pada setiap penambahan serat sebanyak 3
sampel dan total sebanyak 30 sampel. Hasil pengujian statistik dengan menggunakan

menyatakan bahwa terdapat
interaksi atau perlakuan yang sangat nyata antara kuat lentur beton dengan
penambahan serat daun nanas namun tidak diperoleh pengaruh atau tidak terdapat
interaksi terhadap kuat tekan dengan panambahan serat daun nanas. Terjadi
peningkatan nilai kuat tekan dan kuat lentur pada mutu beton K-225. Kuat tekan dan
kuat lentur tertinggi diperoleh pada penambahan 5% serat daun nanas yaitu sebesar
267,00 kg/cm
2
untuk kuat tekan dan 41,61 kg/cm
2
untuk kuat lentur. ==================================================================================================================
The development of fruit plants in Riau Province is increasing every year, especially
in pineapple fruit plants. But with increased pineapple production, it will also
increase pineapple leaf waste. To be able to provide added value to the waste, the
pineapple leaves are processed into fibers for added material in concrete. So
research is needed to study the utilization of pineapple fiber on the compressive
strength of concrete and flexural strength of concrete. The research was conducted
by giving variations of the addition of pineapple leaf fibers by 0%, 1%, 3%, 5% and
7% to the weight of cement in the K-225 concrete quality. The number of samples for each fiber addition was 3 samples and a total of 30 samples. Statistical test results
using Analysis of Variance
(ANOVA
) states that there is a very real interaction or
treatment between the flexural strength of concrete with the addition of pineapple
leaf fiber but no effect is obtained or there is no interaction with the compressive
strength with pineapple leaf fiber addition. An increase in the compressive strength
and flexural strength of the K-225 concrete quality. The highest compressive strength
and flexural strength were obtained from the addition of 5% of pineapple leaf fiber
which was 267,00 kg/cm
2
for compressive strength and 41,61 kg/cm
2
for flexural
strength.
