Pengaruh Pendekatan Sets (Science, Environment, Technology, Society) Berbasis Project Pada Materi Virus Terhadap Keterampilan Berpikir Kritis Siswa Kelas X Ma Hidayatul Qodiri

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan pendekatan SETS
(Science, Environment, Technology, Society) berbasis project terhadap
keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa pada materi virus. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada
peserta didik kelas X MA Hidayatul Qodiri Riau tahun pelajaran 2025/2026 dengan
jumlah sampel sebanyak 30 siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah
metode weak eksperimen dengan desain one group pretest-posttest. Teknik
pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui tes keterampilan berpikir kritis, sedangkan
analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif, uji Paired Sample t-test, dan
perhitungan N-gain. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata nilai pretest
siswa sebesar 50,8 mengalami peningkatan menjadi 73,2 pada posttest. Hasil uji
Paired Sample t-test menunjukkan nilai t = –18,842 dengan Sig. (2-tailed) = 0,000
(<0,05), yang berarti terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara hasil pretest dan
posttest. Selain itu, nilai rata-rata N-gain sebesar 0,47 berada pada kategori sedang,
yang menunjukkan adanya peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa secara
konsisten setelah penerapan pendekatan SETS berbasis project. Dengan demikian,
dapat disimpulkan bahwa pendekatan SETS berbasis project berpengaruh
signifikan terhadap peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa pada materi
virus.
