dari 5The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas
The Boy in the Striped Pajamas tells the story of Bruno, a nine‑year‑old boy living in Berlin in 1942. When his father, a Nazi officer, is transferred, the family moves to a remote house beside a mysterious fenced area. Lonely and curious, Bruno explores the surroundings and meets Shmuel, a Jewish boy on the other side of the fence. Despite the barrier between them, the two form a secret friendship built on innocence and misunderstanding. As Bruno tries to make sense of his new world, he remains unaware of the horrors unfolding around him. Their friendship leads to a tragic and powerful conclusion that highlights the human cost of prejudice and war. The novel offers students an accessible, emotionally resonant introduction to the Holocaust through the eyes of a child.
